StUrhling Watch Ad
Stührling is a low-cost watch brand that emphasizes making luxury available for all. I needed to create a brand around a product and tell a story and felt Stührling could sell luxury but still speak to a specific audience.
Inspiration
Armed with the idea of taking charge of your time, I felt there was a strong connection between the "sands of time" and this time marching steadily forward. For the average person to take command of this time, they should think of Stührling. In this campaign, I imagined a series of posters that would follow military styling, fine details, and bold text.

NATO inspired the first of these design elements, with their military map symbols. Drawing upon these icons, I created similar styling across the entire ad.

To draw it all together, I placed the watch on top of a block of sandstone, giving contrast to the watch face and black accents.

I imagine future ads in this campaign to include different environments (desert, tundra, jungle, etc) allowing the open watch face to be shown with varying coloration as the backdrop.
Some of the shots I began shooting on faux fur to give a higher gloss look, but the NATO inspiration changed this direction.
